Prolific burglar jailed

James SmithA Willesden man faces more than four years behind bars after being convicted of a string of burglaries.

James Smith, of Burnley Road, was sentenced to four years and eight months in Harrow Crown Court today (Tuesday).

The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to five burglaries including one home, he was also sentenced for breaching a year-long suspended prison sentence for burglary in February.

These offences included a day-long crime spree across the borough on April 11 when Mr Smith smashed a car and broke into and ransacked Futuristix Hair and Beauty salon, in Kenton Road, and a residential home in Kenton Road.
