Noisy reveller fined
A businessman who held raucous outdoor parties in the middle of Harlesden has been punished by Brent Council.
Hopeton Lee was fined £1,300 after being found guilty of causing noise nuisance by magistrates, on Tuesday last week.
He had upset a number of residents by organising noisy weekend gatherings on a site behind Nicol Road, in Harlesden.
Investigating officers from Brent Council's Environmental Health Service were inundated with complaints about the racket and visited the site, which was also used as a mechanics.
They found a number of large loudspeakers rigged up and served Lee with a noise abatement notice.
But the reveller was hauled in from of the courts after ignoring the warning and slapped with an injunction forbidding further events
David Thrale, Director of Environmental Health at Brent Council, said "This case illustrates how Brent Council works with local people to tackle anti-social behaviour. "The council is pleased that we were able to restore peace and quiet to this neighbourhood."
