A man pounded the pavements over the bank holiday to raise £2,600 for a spinal cord injury charity based in Stanmore.
Cliff Diamond, from Edgware, took part in the Bupa London 10000 on May 26. The 47-year-old ran the 10k race in just over an hour in the pouring rain. He chose the charity as his daughter used the swimming pool at the Aspire National Training Centre, in Wood Lane, whilst recovering from a neck injury.
Mr Diamond said: "I chose to run in aid of Aspire because of my daughter's injury, she received a huge amount of support during her rehabilitation. I wanted to do my bit for them as well."
